St. Alphonse de Liguori
St Alphonse de Liguori was started in August 2012 and currently has 12 members who participate in its activities regularly.
The members are drawn from Valley Arcade, Mbaazi Road and Lavington. The group meets on Tuesdays every fortnight at the member’s homes for prayers where they are usually joined by other members of each family. This is the first SCC that about half of the members have ever been a part of and it has been a great blessing and source of support and growth in faith. The group is grateful to Fr. Canzian and the assistant parish priests during that period who have walked with them, celebrated mass in their homes and been channels of grace and blessings to those families. The values of the SCC is to grow in faith, hope and love.
The SCC has also participated in the parish activities such as the offertory. The group is working towards organizing a retreat for the members and in the process of identifying a charitable cause that members can support comfortably within their means.

St. Lawrence
Saint Lawrence was one of the seven deacons under Pope Sixtus II. He was in charge of giving help to the poor and the needy. He was martyred during the reign of Emperor Valerian in c 258. The Saint was tied on top of an iron grill over a slow fire that roasted his flesh little by little, but Lawrence was burning with so much love of God that he almost did not feel the flames. At the hour of his death, he prayed that the city of Rome may be converted to Jesus and that the Catholic Faith may spread all over the world.
We celebrate Saint Lawrence’s feast day in August 10th of each year.

St. John of God
St. John of God Small Christian Community (SCC) was started in September 2000. It was officially launched and blessed by Father Franco Cellana and this included the mass celebration of Holy Mass.
Our Patron Saint John was religious and after leading a dangerous life as a soldier and wishing to devote the rest of his life to good works, he gave himself up completely to looking after the sick. He was outstanding in his love for the sick and needy. Therefore we St. John of God identify ourselves with the sick, the poor, the needy in the society and assist them through prayers, visits etc.
Members of the St. John of God SCC consist of (adult men and women, youth and little children) which brings together more than ten families.
Most members of this SCC live within Dennis Pritt, Siaya and Mwingi Roads. They participate in various activities in the church, social, visiting the sick at home and the hospitals, children’s homes etc.

HOLY TRINITY KILELESHWA – JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP (JYG)
The Junior Youth Group (JYG) was started in our parish in January 2012 and its members are between the age of 14 and 18 years.
Our main activities are divided into three segments namely spiritual, social and charitable activities.
SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES
The main purpose of these activities is to enrich the members spiritually and the group has tried to achieve this through the following activities:
Arranging for occasional spiritual talks and bible quiz sessions.
Attending an average of two retreats annually
Preparing and presenting Christmas carols every Christmas Eve e.g. last year
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
These activities are meant to strengthen the relationship between the members and the group at large. Additionally it is a forum of inculcating into the members morally accepted ways of dealing with social issues and relationships.
The group endeavors to achieve this through team building events, parties and participating in active discussions about social issues.
CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES
These activities instill in the members the spirit of sharing with those who are challenged in one way, or another, be it economically, spiritually, socially, or otherwise and the group endeavors to achieve this through participation in charitable activities especially visiting orphans and the elderly.
CONCLUSION
The main purpose of any Christian Junior Youth Group should be to instill Christina values and participate actively in the church because the youths are the hope for the future
